Students Selected for Summer Utility Internship Program

North Baldwin Utilities (NBU) is excited to partner with neighboring utilities, the Baldwin County Board of Education (BCBE), and the Southwest Alabama Workforce Development Commission (SAWDC) for the 2022 Summer Utility Internship Program.

Working closely with SAWDC and BCBE, Riviera Utilities launched the pilot program in 2021. This year, North Baldwin Utilities, Daphne Utilities and Gulf Shores Utilities join Riviera to host a total of 18 rising seniors all from Baldwin County high schools.

To be selected, the students had to apply through their school counselors and then participate in interviews in front of a panel of supervisors. The selected students will spend nine weeks gaining real-world experience — and earning a paycheck. NBU is proud to present our 2022 interns (pictured from left to right) - Brody Lineberry and Noah Haskew from Baldwin County High School and Keilan Watson from Spanish Fort High School.

A community-driven and supported organization, NBU is proud to join our partnering utilities to connect education and local industry. Together, we hope to prepare students for their futures while highlighting career opportunities in infrastructure.
